The KDJ One against the from above is a tiny MPC Live, also with his own battary and very usefull to set basis of songs because he has like the MPC series more visuable tracks and step sequencer, I use it every day when something comes in my mind, The BB have an easy workflow, but you must do a lot of tricks to get a complete song against all from above but he is easy to carry with you. If you are a lot on the move than I love my MPC Live due to the fact that he has his own battary inside which is not on the X, Toraiz 16 and BB, but also on the KDJ One. When I look to the Pioneer Toraiz SP16, he is very easy to use and he has realy realy marvelous filters against the MPC machines.

So has the MPC Live the same issue against the BB. Each value in $ have his own quality.īack to the MPC X aganst The MPC Live, the MPC X has a workflow which is more easy to use, more possibilitys and an easy going into the depth (of the machine) against the MPC Live. For example the MPC Live is a complete workflow against the BB, but if I look to the MPC X he is top of the bill against the MPC Live.

Each of them have there own speciality and you must not vs each other.

My objective is primarily to make beats, chop and integrate samples.Hi, I have all of them BB, MPC Live, MPC X and Pioneer Toraiz SP16 and KDJ One. I’m likely going to invest in the Akai MPD218 relatively soon as well. I got an email from akai with a discount for upgrading to MPC2 but I’m not sure what benefit I would get other than an additional drum machine? Is it worth upgrading to MPC2? Stick with MPC Beats? Switch now and invest (time and eventually money) into another DAW?Īs of now my only hardware is an MKIII mini which is why I’m inclined to stick with MPC but I have no allegiance to any DAW’s at this point.

I’m happy to put in the extra time to learn but don’t want to dive down that rabbit hole if I’m going to end up somewhere else. Anybody know the real difference? I’m new to the world of DAW’s and MIDI’s, have messed around with a few free DAW’s and MPC Beats is kind of overwhelming and not as intuitive compared to GarageBand and Studio One, for example.
